General Rules and Other Stuff You Won’t Read

- Most important first, don’t be a prick, and have fun. Kind messed up this has to be made a rule, but some people forget why we do this.

- aPw is an original character only (meaning no real wrestlers/people are allowed) promotion. No real people or cheap rip-offs will be accepted.

- You may handle up to two (2) characters at any given time. Be aware that both your characters may be booked in different matches for one card so if you don't think you can handle writing with both of them in the same week, don't join as 2 characters.

- To join the aPw you must send a completed application. All the information in the application is needed for the results and other things around the website, so everything needs to be filled out.

- We have the right to not accept you into the aPw for a number of reasons, some of which are; you have been in the aPw before and were let go, you didn't fill out the application completely, the character you want to use is a rip-off of a real wrestler (ex. "Ice Cold" Steve Houston), and of course if you fill out the application as a real wrestler.

- Don’t be a man-bitch, about anything, ever…seriously.

- If you wish to leave aPw at any time, email or PM Taj Escobar and you will be taken off of the roster. We do, however, reserve the right to continue using your character to wrap up any storylines you may have been involved in.

- Real wrestler/celebrity/whatever imagery is strictly forbidden.

- Will I be using Poser? Not unless you have that much free time or want to pay someone for me.

- But I may decide to pilfer Wynn Resources again should it feel right.

Promos

- You never beat Triple H, so don't tell us you did. No one here cares. This is fantasy wrestling.

- Only two (2) promos will be counted towards your match, and should be posted in the Malice or Supercard sections. Any other promos you choose to write should be tucked nicely into the Character Development section.

- Writing in script or novel style doesn’t matter, do what you do.

- You are not required to mention your opponent in your match promos, this will not count for or against you.

- Go ahead and curse your little tush off, I promise we won’t cry. But don't do it just to do it.

- Do not use other handlers wrestlers in your promos without their consent. Tag Teams and Alliances are excluded from this rule, as people within your stable or tag team should trust you to use their character.

- Do not attack front office staff in your promos. If you have to beat on someone, use some guy walking down the street, or a non-aPw press.

- Having good HTML in your promos mean nothing. Writing in offsite layouts is also strongly discouraged. At this time it is not an official rule, but if it becomes a problem, I will make it one…and really it’s just kinda lame.

- It makes no sense to cut a vignette from a house show, it's uncreative and basic. Please try to avoid setting the scene at a house show. If you want to have a segment on a show, use the "Submit A Segment" form and it will be included on one of our shows.

Inactivity

- If you are new to aPw and fail to show for your first match without alerting staff, you will be dismissed.

- If you miss two (2) consecutive Malice shows, without alerting a staff member as to why, you will be released. No questions asked.

- If for some reason you character goes on the inactive list (i.e. you need time off), and has been on the inactive list for more than one (1) month without contacting staff about getting more time, you will be removed from the roster and need to reapply if you wish to return. Anyone left on the inactive list for more than six (6) months, will also be removed from the roster and need to reapply upon returning.

OOC Behavior

- Do not begin running OOC battles in aPw, it’s the internet, and no one gives a shit.

- The bottom line is that the staff are running the fed because we enjoy it (and it’s something fun to do when you come home drunk at 3 in the morning), not as a job. We have NOTHING to gain from screwing people over. Just remember, that this is a game, no matter how real you may think your e-rep

- Don't expect to shoot into the main event just because you were a big shot in some other promotion. Just like above, your e-rep means dick.

Submissions

- aPw offers various ways to have your ideas voiced. In the form of News/Rumor, Angle/Attack, and Segment submission forms. You are encouraged to use all three of these frequently. In card segments not only make my job easier, but also make the results more interesting for you to read. As far as angle/attack goes, in aPw you control what your character does, and where he goes. If you do not give the staff input on angles for your character, he will simply float around.

Alliances

- Stables cannot be created on your own. You must first email Taj Escobar telling him what your stable will be called and the other wrestlers who might be in it.

- The limit to stable members will be 5. Anymore than that, it just gets ridiculous.

Storylines

- Storylines are the backbone and life forcer behind aPw. It is your job to come up with storylines and ideas for you characters. From time to time, the front office may come up with ideas and propose them. But for the most part, it's up to you. If you want to run a storyline, tell us.

- In card segments are not a requirement, but are encouraged. Not only do they advance storylines and character developement, they also makes the shows a much more enjoyable read.

In Closing

Don’t be an asshole and you’ll get along just fine here. Write for the fun of writing, not to win an imaginary title.

Have fun!
